The Biggest Blockbuster Movie Flops of All Time

Did you ever watch a movie only to walk away disappointed? Well, maybe you didn’t go see The Martian after reading negative reviews. Or maybe you saw Black Panther, but couldn’t get into Captain America: Civil War. If you’re looking for some blockbuster flop movies to watch, look no further. Here are the biggest blockbusters of all time that flopped at the box office.

Top Picks Ranked

“Mongol”

How much money did this movie make? $13 million dollars. How many online pokies Australia players  went and saw it? 2 million. That is less than half of what Disney was expecting from its new live-action version of Lady and the Tramp in 2017. This movie cost 14 MILLION DOLLARS! It starred Jet Li (Kung Fu Panda) and Jackie Chan (Rush Hour). They were both very popular actors at the time, but this movie failed miserably.

“Thor: Ragnarok”

The trailer made Thor seem like he would be another typical comic book movie superhero with great CGI effects. But then ‘Ragnarok’ came out and audiences were so excited about seeing this movie that they showed up in droves. Unfortunately, even though there were good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie only earned $94.5 million compared to the original Avengers’ $229 million opening weekend.

“Lone Survivor”

This movie opened at #1 at the box office and became very successful. It was nominated for several Academy Awards including Best Picture. However, as time passed, more and more viewers started realizing that the storyline was extremely weak. In fact, it wasn’t until 2016 when the film finally won the Critics Choice Award for best war drama. So not only did this movie fail to win any Oscars, but it also lost over 1 billion dollars for 20th Century Fox.

“Jurassic World”

If you remember Jurassic Park, you know how awesome it was back in 1993. Sadly, the same can’t be said for the 1995 sequel, which had terrible reviews and was a huge disappointment at the box office. Even so, it actually beat some other big flops such as Shrek 2 and Star Wars Episode I Racer Battlefront. It took in just $967 million, while the first Jurassic Park earned $1.2 billion.

Conclusion

While some of these movies made numerous appearances in online casino games, online casino slot themes, clothing, and more, none of them were able to fully recover their losses. Hopefully, this will help you avoid wasting your money on bad movies or sequels…
